hi,
actuallt i am trying to connect my trf 7960 evm board to my pc. i hav installed usb to serial bridge software from silabs on my pc. but the board is not getting detected. on gui it show
*** time out***
***com port not found. check com port***

Isn't the trf 7960 from TI? Why would it work with the SiLabs software?

Because the USB connection is made via CP2102

You've to clarify: The board is not detected by the TRF7960 software, or the CP2102 is not recognized by Windows?
If the CP2102 is properly recognized by Windows, I'd assume that the MSP430 has no or the wrong firmware to communicate with the EVM-Software.
If the CP2102 is not recognized, you must dig into it... Which drivers have you used? Does TI provide their own driver package for the CP2102?
