Hi,
my USB to UART with CP2102 with latest VCP drivers (6.1) don't pass Microsoft WHQL testing in USB Device Framework (CV) test. This problem was discussed here with USBExpress drivers, but I didn't find any solution how to fix it with VCP drivers. All other WHQL test are passed, this is the only one failed. I wrote e-mail also to Silabs technical support week before, but I have no reply from them till today.
Thank you for all ideas. Drivers are installed on WIN7 x64 Proffesional system.

Peter

It should be fixed on "firmware" of CP210x, not on the VCP (or USBXpress) device driver, if the error messages correctly describe the test procedures. MS seems to make the test stricter from WLK version to version. MS should fix so many of their "out of spec" first.

Maybe, SiLabs have come across the same problem, when they passed their device drivers to WHQL testing. As they passed it, SiLabs have applied "firmware" version up to the recent revision of CP210x.

Confirm it to SiLabs. If new revision has been released, request a couple of chips of the revision just to pass to WLK test.

It's trivial "out of spec". You don't need to replace entire lot.
