I am lately getting "Unable to recognize USB device" failures on several machines when I plug in my 342/340 MSD. These have worked before, but suddenly don't. The only common thing I can find is all the PCs in question date around 2006/2007 in manufacture. They are running XP and Vista32/64. The code has not changed. The hardware has not changed. I am going to try ReneK's fixes, but I wanted to post early to get the input of those of you on the far side of the date line. Thanks. Okay, tried ReneK's fixes, no go. I downloaded the USB MSD spec and corrected a few parameters, and now it comes up on most of the machines it didn't before, but still doesn't on several. It also occasionally dies then comes back in a few seconds. Strange. Any ideas? Anyone??? IP: Logged |
