Hi, I want to develop driver for CP2102 for QNX but I can't find any documentation how to work with this device. Is it possible to get documentation? IP: Logged |

The CP210x protocol over USB is not open. The source code for the Linux driver may help you. Tsuneo [This message has been edited by Tsuneo (edited June 01, 2007).] IP: Logged |

It isn't acceptable for us to spend a lot of time looking into Linux kernel sources and trying to understand how this device working. If documentation is not available for IP: Logged |

Then, make the device by yourself, according to the USB CDC ACM spec. Either FTDI or Prolific, no manufacturer of USB-serial chip opens the USB protocol of the chip. Tsuneo [This message has been edited by Tsuneo (edited June 01, 2007).] IP: Logged |

Consider using the F320 with Tsuneo’s CDC code. The CDC spec is public, with some luck there is already a QNX implementation. Tsuneo’s CDC is also public, so you have even the possibility to optimize it for your own application. The only draw back I see is that you have to download the firmware initially in the F320, which is a bit more laboriously than only modify the CP210x VID/PID/Serial/Description. IP: Logged |
