Hello, Does any body have any experience with Silabs USB chips and a PDA (USB master)? Could the SiUSB.dll be used (I don’t think so)? We would like to develop an application were the F320 (for data acquisition) have to be connected to a PDA. Anybody suggestions? Thanks in advance, Machiel IP: Logged |

We had to do something similar. The new PDAs that can do USB servers need to have drivers written. You would have to get the DDK for the PDA and adapt the driver from the sample ones, similar to the way that Cygnal (now SiLabs) adapted the one that is used on the PC from the Windows DDK. Some people claim to have done this for Linux, but unless you have a lot of time on your hands or are a rich corporation, I would stick to serial. That is what we did. -Erik IP: Logged |

Maybe the PDA Windows version has a HID driver inclusive. If so, you could use the F320 HID example. IP: Logged |

Hello andersan, It is included in IDE update. After installing the update, see next folder. C:\SiLabs\MCU\Examples\C8051F32x\HID_Example\ But if you've installed quite recent IDE, you may already have it. Tsuneo IP: Logged |
