Although the F586 is documented having 96k of code space, implying that Bank2 is operable, the Code Memory Fill dialog only allows writing to code memory up to B1:FDFF.

Yet, when my firmware does flash writes to B2:FA00, and the IDE displays it in the Code Memory window, the write is shown to have worked correctly.

THis sounds like a bug in the IDE. I suggest contacting Silabs directly for this here.
