Guys, The pdf describing this Dev. Kit states that "A full-version Keil A51 macro assembler and BL51 banking linker are included". I take "full-version" to mean that the assembler & linker are not limited in code size or otherwise. This Dev. Kit seems to cost ~$69. Looking for the Keil A51 over the net, its cost seems to be more like $500. What's the catch? Many, many thanks. IP: Logged |

Evaluation C51 ‘C’ Compiler maybe it is a full version of the assembler (somehow restricted to SILabs chips), send an e-mail to MCUtools I know that other manufacturers (e.g. NXP) have 'special' versions of the Keil eval. In those days, KEIL had distributed an evaluation version as described above. SiLabs, too. But nowadays, code size limit is applied to both, as Erik said. It was discussed on this topic for F340DK, in May, 2006 I know that old Keil eval is downloadable from other manufacturers (e.g. Cypress), included in their dev kit CD. All, The eval version of the Keil tools under the Silabs license code is limited to 4kB for the C compiler and is unlimited on the assembler. If you install from the Silabs CD without the CD license code, the limit is 2kB on each. When you enter the code from the CD, the limits will change to 4kB and unlimited.
