I have assembled 8051 and its associated circuitary on the general purpose pcb. But problem is power on reset ckt doesn't work at all. Here i have put switch across capacitor which works fine. I have only connected one LED to port 1.0 and other ports are unused. Could anyone tell me what's the problem. Here I am using 10uF - 10K combination. Again I have tried several RC combination but no result. I have assembled the same one more GP pcb but same result.

Hi pravinfalcao,

which SiLabs device are you using? Usually the capacitor in the reset circuit makes more problems than it helps.
