Is there anymore details on the CAN0BT register? Some of the sample code reference a CAN bit timing spreadsheet, but I can't find it any where. IP: Logged |

Hi, I have created a java applet then can calculate the CAN bit timing registers. It's free for everyone here at Silabs to use. I have tested the results it provides and they are accurate, though using the applet takes a bit of practice since it's an iterative process of finding the best settings for some of the lower baud rates where there are multiple solutions. As the baud rate approaches 1MHz there are few solutions so it's relatively easy. Here's a link: http://www.smartelectronics.ca/cantimingwizard.htm Best Regards, IP: Logged |

frankee, you are awesome. That's what I liked about the the Atmel 8051. They have a similar app. IP: Logged |

Dear all: I have tried to find a applet to intiailize the CAN bus timing register. Now I have found the URL: http://www.smartelectronics.ca/cantimingwizard.htm Now it is forbidden to access, why? Thanks & Best Regards! IP: Logged |

Thanks for your applet. The link works fine for me. (Windows7 64B, Firefox, N A.V.) Takes the difficult bit out of doing sums! I am assuming that the CAN calculations will be the same for all Silabs CAN engine implementations. But testing will tell. I am moving from 'F040 to 'F580 for my next project whenever that might happen! ------------------ IP: Logged |
